Jasmine Briggs

Career Coach

Jasmine Briggs (Beta Mu Chapter '03) is a Career Coach and Resume Writer, however all of her life she wanted to be a famous actor. When that dream no longer suited her, she went on a journey to discover a new career path that I was passionate about.

This led her to Sofia University, where she completed her master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology and received her certification as a Transformational Life Coach. During this time, she was also working in the legal recruiting field and discovered that the best transition for her was to move into Workforce Development, utilizing her skills in recruitment and her new passion for helping others reach personal and professional fulfillment. Briggs worked with two humans services organizations, coaching and training individuals with barriers to employment, such as a history of incarceration or substance abuse. She eventually moved into Higher Education, supporting students in creative industries find employment and build professional skills. During her 5 years with the college, Briggs was promoted several times, and now serve as the Director of Career Services.

Briggs loves that her work with students and teams aligns with her coaching practice of supporting professionals in building their career and finding employment that aligns with their personal genius. As CEO of Creatively Inspired Coaching, she support clients with all aspects of career planning and management, from resume and LinkedIn profile writing, personal and social branding to job search and promotion strategies. With a BA in theater and creative writing, her background has served her in delivering training and writing compelling career marketing documents that speak to an individual's brand and accomplishments. Briggs loves that her journey to find a new career path led her to her passion of helping others love their careers. 

Megan Fahey

Megan Fahey received her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Old Dominion University in December 2019 and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Sport Management. She began working in the Sport industry at 19 with a Stadium Operations internship for the Norfolk Tides, the AAA Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. She also began working part-time for Spectra Venue Management at Chartway Arena as a Receptionist and Group Sales Representative toward the end of her internship. In that time, she learned about Human Resources. She also worked in Operations with Old Dominion Athletics until she was promoted to the Office Manager at Chartway Arena where she works in accounting and also assists with HR duties. Megan is a point of contact for almost 350 employees employed by Spectra and about an additional 50 contracted stagehands. Megan meets almost all employees during the hiring process and handles all the paperwork associated with their employment. 

Throughout her time in the Sport and Entertainment industry, she has hosted two Conference USA Soccer tournaments, a MAC Wrestling tournament, and assisted with opening Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium, which is Conference USA's newest Football stadium. Notable events worked include UFC, The Harlem Globetrotters, and ZZ Top. Her favorite event worked to date would be the Old Dominion Football's upset win over Virginia Tech in 2018.
