Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity's Executive Leadership Program Purpose, Policies and Procedures.

The purpose of Phi Sigma Pi’s Executive Leadership Program (ELP):

  • Provide courses to participants to learn and demonstrate soft skills
  • Provide participants with relevant information and skills that will assist them in furthering their careers, professions and/or goals
  • Provide participants with opportunities to learn on their own time through a fully online learning environment/platform
  • Communicate the importance of soft skills training and leadership development to participants

Scope:
Phi Sigma Pi’s Executive Leadership Program (ELP) is an assessment-based certificate program that provides interactive, micro-learning, self-paced, online courses to participants. The ELP demonstrates and teaches soft skills and how to execute those soft skills to be a confident leader to participants. The ELP is a tiered level design, with courses and levels building on itself, growing from how to lead others to be a leader of leaders to finally the leader of an organization. Each level comprises of courses encompassing six essential leadership competencies.

  • Strategic Thinking

Each ELP course concentrates on particular soft skills or a group of interrelated skills for participants to learn. The courses and levels converge together to complete an assessment for participants to earn their certificates. 

Goal:
Our goal is to empower all individuals of Phi Sigma Pi with the executive leadership skills to inspire positive change and become confident, well-rounded leaders.

Target Audience:
Degree Seeking Students

Eligibility requirements and prerequisites:
All active Members of Phi Sigma Pi are eligible to participate in the Executive Leadership Program. Prerequisite to participating is completing the Phi Sigma Pi Initiation or Membership Program.

Certificate Recall and Ownership Policy

Policy Statement:

The Executive Leadership Program (ELP) retains the right to recall or nullify a certificate granted to any participant in the event that the certificate holder has violated program requirements or policies. The ELP reserves the sole discretion to revoke the certificate, ensuring the integrity and credibility of the program. The certificate, in any format or medium it may take, remains the sole property of the ELP.

Certificate Recall or Nullification:

The ELP may recall or nullify a certificate under the following circumstances, but not limited to:

Violation of Program Requirements: Any violation of program requirements, including academic integrity, ethical conduct, or other guidelines specified in the program policies.
Misrepresentation: Providing false or misleading information to obtain the certificate.
Conduct Inconsistent with Program Values: Engaging in behavior that is inconsistent with the values and principles of the ELP.
Breach of Confidentiality: Unauthorized sharing of program materials or confidential information related to the ELP.
Recall Procedure:

If it is determined that a certificate holder has violated program requirements or policies, the following procedure will be followed:

  • Investigation: The Director of Leadership Advancement will conduct a thorough investigation to substantiate the alleged violation.
  • Notification: The certificate holder will be notified in writing via email about the alleged violation and provided with an opportunity to respond.
  • Review and Decision: The Director of Leadership Advancement will review the evidence and the participant's response, making a decision regarding certificate recall or nullification.
  • Appeals: The certificate holder may appeal the decision through the established appeals process, if available.
  • Recall or Nullification: If the decision to recall or nullify the certificate is upheld, the participant will be informed in writing, and the certificate will be declared null and void.

Certificate Ownership:

The certificate, regardless of its format (physical or digital) or medium (paper-based or electronic), remains the sole property of the Phi Sigma Pi's Executive Leadership Program. The certificate holder is granted a license to use the certificate to demonstrate their achievement only as long as they comply with program requirements and policies. Phi Sigma Pi's Executive Leadership Program reserves the right to reclaim the certificate if it has been recalled or nullified due to violations.
